“Egg(SANS)…”

With a little more time on our hands lately, I think Brett has started to get his entrepreneurial juices flowing.

Earlier this week, in the family text thread, he pitched his idea.

A restaurant idea, among all things.

I call it “EGG(sans)”.

Menu options:

Eggs Benedict (without hollandaise sauce or muffin)
Eggs and toast (without toast)
Eggs and pancakes (without pancakes)
Eggs and hashbrowns (without hashbrowns)
Any egg scramble you can think of (without all the fixings)…just eggs.

In fact, I was the first to try his first creation when he made me the signature eggs sans hashbrowns.

The idea sparked a few days of responses from members of the family, all chiming in with their ideas to help this “eggcellent” idea take off.

From Kristina, the business expert, “Keep the number of seats low…maybe no seats at all…high demand, low supply..high prices!”

From Mark, a food and restaurant aficionado. “I think you just have a plain black box as a logo. Almost to say, this is so obscene it’s censored.”

Then, a commercial idea involving chickens and eggs that had us all either rolling with laughter or wondering what we just looked at (a combo of both).

Rick and Carol jumped in with their support and encouragement, ready to be the first in line to try EGG(sans) creations.

“Is EGG(sans) menu available for delivery? Perhaps through Amazon? Dad and I could order breakfast and have it arrive via FedEx!”

Over the days, more egg jokes.

More hilarious business ideas that Brett seriously and thoughtfully weighed and gave his feedback to.

Including statues constructed by Charlee.

And slogan ideas that are too inappropriate for Facebook…

In the light of everything that’s going on.

When anxiety seems high and the uncertainty abounds.

I’m thankful for a husband and family that has a sense of humor.

Using laughter to relieve a bit of stress.
To bring us together.

When times get hard, make time to laugh.

It really is the best medicine.
