“Superthinking…”

“Superthinking…”
I added this into my “routine” – if you can call it that right now – today!
As Breanne and I are getting ready to launch our next ConfidenceFactor™ Challenge, there are so many things that we’re figuring out.
What platform do we host it on?
Should we include individual coaching again?
What do we want to change from last time?
And on and on.
So many questions and three times more answers!
And I’m finding them all.
Nurse Kaden. Google all my questions.
Find all the answers.
Repeat every 3 hours!
Every answer I could ever want.
Many of them conflicting with one another.
Different from what we are learning from mentors.
How do we ever know what way to go!
Enter Brooke Castillo… master coach!
And Superthinking.
With the basic idea to – use our brains!
So often, we don’t use our own wisdom and the access we already have to our own answers.
Instead, we ask people outside of ourselves all of our questions. Believing their brains will have all of the answers and ours won’t.
With Superthinking, you clean out your brain… writing down all of your ideas, thoughts, troubles, etc.
Then, with a fresh perspective, you ask yourself all the questions that you are seeking answers for. And you listen to your answers.
Write them down.
Capture your questions.
Gather your insights.
This isn’t to say that we shouldn’t research, seek out mentors, ask for information.
But, we don’t need all of these others to give us answers. They share the information and we tap into our insights and intuitions to find the answers that are right for us.
I love this practice!
It sounds like what I’m learning about being a mom – my motherly intuition knows what to do, if I can learn to listen to it.
And it also points out what I love about coaching and our ConfidenceFactor™ Challenge… we don’t know or have the answers, but can help guide clients through the process of discovering them for themselves.
I guess it really hit home today that I should be taking my own advice to seek internally for answers to our questions.
So, starting today, I’m dedicating some Superthinking time to my day… that is, when it works with Kaden’s eat/sleep/poop schedule!
