“How much money have you made…?”

Kristina and I have been building our Mindfluent® Leadership business for almost a year and a half now.

During this time, we’ve both been on a journey of personal transformation as we develop what our business is based on our personal and combined principles.

We’ve continued to learn and challenge ourselves through training, daily reading, and writing.

We’ve learned through trial and error how to build websites, landing pages, email lists, and newsletters.

We’ve run challenges with dedicated and inspiring groups of women and continued to engage them in a community together.

Kristina has been developing customized programs as an Integral Coach for her clients.

I have been training athletes and teams as a Mental Training coach.

We’ve been building and building.

As we continue to grow, it’s common to wonder.

“So, how much money have you made so far?”

It’s something Kristina and I are well aware of, and sometimes joke about.

The answer?

$0.

In fact, considering how much investment we’ve made into our business, we’re in the negative on the monthly.

Meaning, we’d technically both make more money if we called it quits.

By some people’s standards, this would be a failure.

“No profit after a year? The business isn’t going anywhere. Failed.”

I guess that depends on how you see the world.
And what you use to measure success by.

Long term vs short term.

Lives transformed vs immediate income.

What I’ve learned over this journey is that building a profitable impact business takes time.

And the income component should rarely be prioritized when the goal is to build something meaningful.

Something that transforms people.

And teams.

And families

And communities.

And, above all, inspires and unlocks potential in people that they didn’t believe was possible.

So, thankfully, we were already prepared for our business to take a different trajectory.

One that wasn’t predicated on how much money we could make, as quickly as we could.

In fact, we are content with risking short-term income for the opportunity to achieve long-term impact.

It’s how we know we’re right where we’re supposed to be.

Gaining traction, generating momentum.

Physics, and life, tells us that we must go down in order to go up.

Come with us.
