“The perfect time…”

“The perfect time…”

Last month, Kristina and I were walking around the Orlando airport, trying to kill some time before our flight back to Portland.

We had just spent the weekend at an event where we dove deep into the vision of Mindfluent Leadership, building a business, and the principles that would guide it.

Particularly, honing in on our desires to help free women from the inner critics that hold us back in so many areas of our lives.

Beliefs that limit us.
Fears that grip us.
The voice in the back of our minds that “keep us in line.”

We were in the beginning stages of creating our entry point challenge.

A challenge to help women become aware of their inner judge, and give them the process, and more importantly, community, to start to disengage from it.

As we were talking, we began the conversation of when to start building, and potentially launch the program.

We talked about the beginning of April and quickly I said, “Nope, that’s Spring Break.”

How about the week after that? “Gone on a work trip,” Kristina mentioned.

Then, it’s May when volleyball ramps back up. And into summer when travel schedules get a little crazy.

We could have continued…

Fall seems to be reserved only for volleyball and football.

Then, the holidays.

Trying to search for the “perfect time” would have quickly lead us to another year out before we decided to take action on anything.

We had to ask ourselves:

Are we being realistic about the commitment this challenge will require in relation to the other commitments we have?

Or…
Are we falling into the myth of “perfect timing?”

As described by Tommy Baker in “The 1% Rule”:

“Talking ourselves out of our dreams simply because of the season of life we’re in or because of a calendar digit is a bulletproof way to get and stay stuck.”

“The right time is created by the power of a bold decision.”

We create the perfect time, instead of waiting around for it.

Because the longer we wait until we feel like everything is “perfect,” the longer we let this passion inside of us be hidden.

Hidden from other women, who we know are just like us.

Who are longing for relief from insecurities, fears, and suffocating mindsets?

Who we know can grow from an inner to outer sequenced delivery, paired with a supportive community of women who can relate.

And the longer we hold off, the longer we delay the knowledge and growth that can only come from experience and feedback.

So, we’ve jumped in.

We are building, researching, and creating, and adjusting our plan along the way as we earn feedback through action.
Outline==> April
Content==>May
Launch==>June

Now is the perfect time.
