“Time to Actively Represent… “

This post might seem a little different (maybe too long) from the ones I’ve posted in the past.

I want to share more about my passions (which line up nicely with Breanne’s, who you’ll hopefully get to know better soon!) and some of the possibilities I see for our Mindfluent® Leadership movement and business.

My intent is to live curious and optimistic, to be authentic, to be compassionate and in service to others, and to be fully present

I value universal humanness and equality, self-direction, family, and nature.

And I love people – my family, friends, acquaintances, and those I’ve never met. I am forever fascinated with our relationships, how our minds work, the power of our hearts and bodies, the source of happiness, how we live our best lives, and how do we do it together, inclusive of all.

This might all sound like a bunch of fluff.
Stick with me…

I believe completely that business organizations have the unmatched opportunity to positively impact our world through offering work environments and opportunities where employees can THRIVE (not just come to be at their desks and get paid).

Where they feel valued, are able to contribute, and leave feeling physically and emotionally safe.

Employees can then go home to be great parents, partners, friends, and neighbors – in turn positively impacting their relationships, communities, and our world!

And the companies have a competitive edge, a strategic advantage, at the same time.

The same is true in our schools, where we have the opportunity to impact our younger generations and therefore our futures.

To reach this vision – our pre-dominant leadership style has to change.
What was acceptable in the past is absolutely not tolerable in this future.

We can no longer tolerate a leadership mentality that relies on command and control, hierarchy, people-as-machines, control of information, manipulation, disempowerment, and scare tactics.

“Its just business” will no longer be accepted.
It isn’t just business; this is our lives, our relationships, our emotions, energy, and time.
This is the world we are creating – in our minds, in our homes, in our schools and businesses.

My friend, Les, who hosts The Balanced Black Girl podcast, said today: “I realized simply existing isn’t enough. I needed to be actively representing.”

Rock on! and YES!
I feel the same.

The Mindfluent® Leadership Community is for everyone and it’s already started. You’re part of it! You ARE it!

Together, we’ll build an open-source community where we can grow, learn, build upon each other’s ideas, and create change together (wherever you see that change being needed – work, community, schools, home, etc). The concepts, practices, and conversations will be applicable to any one, at any level, anywhere.

And, as we consider Mindfluent® Leadership, LLC’s future core service offerings, we’ll focus on decision-makers, influencers, passionate change-makers… those who are in a position and/or have the passion and energy to create impactful and wide-spread change within their systems. Now.

We’ll provide solutions for these leaders and change-makers, who are sick and tired of the expectations to operate under the old model, who believe in (or are coming to see the need for) a more mindful, relational, service-oriented, optimistic way to lead and succeed.

Those who are looking for a competitive edge for themselves, their employees, their companies, and their communities.

Through the Mindfluent® Leadership Community and service offerings, we’ll create a movement. We will unite on a journey towards unlocking potential and creating impactful and lasting change in our schools, businesses, and communities.

This is my purpose. This is our journey. Without you, none of this is possible.
