“The journey with no end…”
Shared by Breanne Smedley
Last April, my sister-in-law Kristina came to visit Brett and I and meet her niece for the first time.
Charlee was just over a month old, and she hadn’t left my side for more than a few hours while she was sleeping.
We decided to make my first trip out of the house without Charlee and get pedicures.
It was a weird experience to be out without her. I kept having fleeting moments of panic as I’d think, “Where’s Charlee?!”
Only to reassure myself I hadn’t left my baby anywhere, she was safe at home with Brett.
“Relax!” I’d tell myself.
Those few hours out of the house with Kristina ended up being the heart of some of the biggest growth I’ve experienced over the past year.
It was during that time that Kristina brought up an idea. A concept of combining our leadership knowledge and experience to develop leaders in the fields of education, coaching, and business.
We talked for hours about the possibilities.
It was raw. No concrete plan. No business model.
Just a passion for connecting with others, and developing leadership that would transform lives, communities, schools, and businesses.
And a few months later, Mindfluent® Leadership was born.
Looking back, less than a year later, I’m proud of where this passion has led us.
Just 6 months ago, we joined Impact Club and began writing stories to help transform ourselves across four dimensions: Mind. Body. Business. Relationships.
Shortly after that, we had the opportunity to join a 90 Day Immersion where we are learning how to build a Profitable Impact Business.
Our focus has narrowed, to help women unlock their potential and overcome the inner critic that holds them back from leading to their highest potential.
We now have a vision, principles, and a path to guide us.
In 25 short days, we will be ready to launch our first transformation challenge: 31 Days to a Mindfluent® Leader.
Shortly after that, our first books will be published.
I’m proud of us for chasing after something that is scary, and unknown.
For embracing the struggle that comes with following your passions. For pushing past the self-doubt and focusing on the 1% daily improvement.
For not settling with just “being,” but rather pushing ourselves to “become” the leaders we long to see in our families, communities, and world.
We are still in the beginning stages of our journey. A journey that we’ve learned has no end.
But I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished so far.
And more importantly, who we’ve become in the process.
