“The Secret to My Morning Routine…”
At 4:45 this morning, my blaring alarm went off.
BEEP – BEEP – BEEP
The shrill is supposed to scare me out of bed!
There’s no snooze option.
Continue sleeping = wet ponytail and no make-up to work.
And now, my Casper Glow Light is already on.
Telling my body it’s light out and time to wake up!
(Thanks, Sennad!)
One way or another, I’ll conquer this morning routine.
Even as my warm bed, snuggly puppy, and sleeping husband entice me to stay.
As I’ve said before, I’m the writer of my own story.
And I choose to be a morning person.
I’m also always looking for life hacks that make the mornings a little easier.
And this week, I figured out a secret.
=> Choose to do the daily thing(s) that mean a lot to you, in the morning <=
This, allows for morning consistency.
It provides the quiet time for Deep Work while others are sleeping.
And a sense of accomplishment.
It sets me up for having a great day!
So, what am I doing in the mornings?
Reading an inspiring book for 20minutes.
Writing my daily story.
Meditating.
Then, getting ready and chatting with Sennad before heading to work.
I know you’re thinking… “There’s no way I’m getting out of bed to read and write.”
That’s what I thought too!
How will I even keep my eyes open while reading!
But it’s working. And I’ve felt great all week!
I’m learning in the morning.
And I’m accomplishing something important to me before many wake up.
We always have a choice.
We can let the day roll as it may, with no intentions but to just live life.
Or, we create enabling routines that empower our goals.
I have big dreams. Dreams that won’t happen by chance.
Choosing a supporting morning routine is key to bringing them to life.
